They can if the tires are low on air, and the sidewall profile of the some tires can sometimes contribute to them lifting a bit.

You can't lose them since they are pinched between the tire bead and the rim.

Yeah I wasn't so concerned about them flying off as much as I was having them look funky on the highway...lol

If installed with care, the instructions are pretty comprehensive, they should be fine at normal highway speeds. But all bets are off at anything over about 85mph, or so I've been told by my Rat Rodder pals back in NC.

Talking

Well I fiberglassed and foamed the back roof rails today. I will shape them tomorrow...man things sure get ugly in a hurry, but that's all part of the process. It has to look worse before it gets better

But underneath the "ugly" there lies more goodness.

Indeed...lol
I had an idea inspired by your comment about stuffing the Fireball V8 under the hood. I thought Fireball Four kinda has a cool ring to it. So the idea was to put Fireball 4 on the air cleaner cover. I plan on buying the chrome dress up kit for the stock 2.2/2.4 and I think doing an old school lettering that looks like it could have came out of the early 50's would be neato keen...lol

This is a rough sketch I drew up at work. I'm going to take some dimensions from the air cleaner cover and work on refining it. What do you all think?

Cool!

Has a much better ring to it than Ecotec anyday, if you're planning on doing that in vinyl, sign me up for one or two.

Yeah it would be vinyl...I am going to refine it by hand then scan it to make an electronic file. I have a friend with a sign shop who will do the vinyl cheap if I have the lay out work done in advance. I was thinking about doing a brushed stainless vinyl on the chrome cover. could give it a cool ghost effect.

Here's the style Buick used from '47-'53.

And the supplier, they have OEM reproduction Buick decals back into the 1920's.
