Don't forget the good 'ol Postal Service A&P. I'm having the quarter panel off of Jimmy Johnson's race car shipped to a fellow member, and the rate was very reasonable indeed.

BAJATRAILRIDER (Larry)

Fed Ex, Ground (4 business days to ship it) FedEx Ground $160.55

That would be shipping it to a NON residential address. I gave you the Shops address and contact info for that.

Package Details: 1 package, 25.0 lbs, Your Packaging, 44 in x 41 in x 10 in
Thats the size box you gave me, a weight of 25 pounds, and a Value of $500.00 is $160.55, thats if you drop it off at a fed ex location.

That price was just me on FedEx's website checking, see if you come up differently.

Were you able to SECURE the packaging corners, you mentioned the box was a tight fit without much corner protection for the scoop corners? Or reboxed it Larry?

I mentioned in our emails that maybe some 1/4" or 1/2" plywood could be glued with wood/carpenters glue to the outside corners and clear packing tape wrapped around them to secure in place. Wrapping the corners of the scoop with bubble wrap. Just a thought on that without being there in person to see it.

Otherwise just have FedEx rebox it and lets get it shipped out. Just let me know the Total and I'll send you another postal money order to cover it.

Hard to get quotes when I dont know who, what, or where is around you.

I gotta get started on it's install before were in the 90's with high humidity here.
Dog days of Summer here gets pretty hot and humid and bare metal and moisture is not good.

I'll try calling you or your wife and see if we can get this done now.

Please place FRAGILE stickers on it all over or just use a Marker.

Thanks again.

I paid $300.00 for the scoop, add shipping and i'll be around $450.00-$500.00, depending on the actual shipping cost.

Larry's Wife was going to try and get it to a local FedEx location and get it shipped out today. (Fingers are crossed it gets shipped Today)

Larry is in and out of town Alot so we have been emailing back and forth trying to get the shipping set.

I told his wife if she gets to the FedEx today, just ship it, I'll pay whatever it takes I just want it Here to get it started.

If I have a Body Shop do it it Will be at a Grand or more. I am still debating with myself if I will do it, or take the Hood in to a local shop that does some nice Custom work. That way I can get my fiberglass sub boxes started at the Same time and Morticia will only be torn apart about a week or so.
I'll put the Rolled Visor on while she is down for the fiberglass work. Gotta let that glue SET for 3 days before driving it.

I am Parking Morticia this Winter for sure. Gonna get it IN my Heated garage for her Winters Rest.

I may even do the hood over the Winter in my garage, we'll see, I sure would like to get Both fiberglass projects Done ASAP.

I still got the Supercharger install waiting to do.

And that'll be it for her. Unless I get the gull wing type door hinges. Even thinking of Reverse hinging the fronts. Would be Different.

I got an email from Larry this evening (9pm) that he shipped my hood scoop today, should be here on Monday.
Not cheap, but at least it is on it's way here now.

Not sure when I will get started on that project, got a couple things going on at the moment here keeping me busy busy busy.

Rolled visor will be installed tomorrow. (I hope)
Then Morticia will need to sit Parked for a couple days to allow the adhesive to set properly to the glass.

I got the front brakes to do on the Malibu in the morning, installed Rear quick struts on it tonight.
I did the Front quick struts before we sent it over to the mechanics shop and let him do his thing, he replaced all the brake lines, did the rear brakes new drums, shoes, replaced the leaky rear wheel cyliners, fixed the electrical problems, (stemming from a faulty alarm system install job, was on the car, guess it started shorting out after so long) He tore all that out and fixed up a couple other things as well.

Gonna replace 2 tires and it should be road ready.

I gotta start the custom fiberglass sub woofer boxes. Maybe get them started while the visor sets up.

I got some disturbing HPTuners info, about it and HHR Panels. Something about the Vins on them? Not real happy about that news, as I am just about ready to get started on the Supercharger project, only need a pigtail for the little pump, and a few feet of heater hoses and elbows and that was ready to go, basically the local auto parts store type stuff as I think I have everything else now for it.

Buffing on the Blower has maybe a couple hours left and it's ready to bolt in with a mirror polish on it.

Plus I want to buff polish and wax Morticia this week. Temps dropped from the 90's to high 70's.

I just got a PM from a local tuner stating that he had run into a problem with a panel and it seems to stem from the Panel Vins. Going to meet up with him so he can pull codes to research it.

Cheers

JoeR here PMed me about it the other day, the website lists 06-10 Chevy HHR 2.0, 2.4 as supported if this is true about the HHR Panel, I am pretty ticked off about it, I put alot of time and effort into collecting my Supercharger Kit not to mention the hours put into sanding the supercharger and buffing it out.

They better get a FIX pretty quick, I am pretty much Ready to go on this now.
Gonna have to join their forums and start b*tchin about it.
