HHR Teazer High Profile Hood Scoop (Cowl Hood Scoop)
Very cool, but for what you're going to end up having in it, just don't think I could justify it. I picked up a cowl hood for my 2001 S-10...think I paid like $300 total and that was with paint...lol, oh yeah and that was for a true cowl hood. That being said, all the more power to you sir and I can't wait to see the final outcome!
Just had a thought here A&P, with the time and effort to get that scoop glassed in and done right, have you thought about buying a second hood and doing the scoop and paintwork on it?
When the second hood is done and painted up to match Morticia, you can just swap it out with her original, the sell off the spare hood...or keep it if you decide to change her looks again sometime down the road.
If you price up "salvage" hoods, they aren't that pricy.

Maybe YOU can't "justify" it. But I Can.

You may have picked up a fiberglass cowl hood for your S-10 for $300.00.
It was Available to buy it, so are old Nova and Camaro Hoods and 100's of other cars Hoods.
The big thing here is, you CAN"T buy another HHR Hood other than the OEM, or a China made OEM, Period.
So saying you paid $300.00 including paint work for a Totally Different car is a mute point really.
And as for buying another hood scoop, well None of them available are like This HHR Cowl Hood Scoop, Custom Made for the HHR.
Sure, I could have bought a generic hood scoop and slapped it on, but that's NOT what I wanted at all.
You Want Custom, you gotta Pay for it, that's all there is to it. And I Want Custom and am willing to pay for it.
Install will only cost me the paint, reducers/thinners and the clear coat. Most of it I already have out in my garage, I was a full time body and fender man/auto painter for about 12 years before I switched Trades, so labor cost is, my time.
And as far as "a true cowl hood" this one I will be installing can be made into a fully functional cowl hood if I choose to install it that way.

I have mentioned that before as well.
Great A&P, looks good with the visor, I would help you make room for that extra hood, you could sell me the extra visor, think I would be the first SS with one. Keep up the good work your Trucklet is looking great man.

If I ever want a Stock hood back on, I can buy one then and shoot it Black.
