By the way chefhhr, that hood you bought for your 2001 S-10.

On the Goodmark website it is now $362.95, plus Tax $22.68 = $385.63, Plus the added Shipping costs whatever that is, I put in my City State and Zip Code and it comes back after the search for the shipping estimate as - Shipping: (You have selected an invalid address. No Shipping Methods Found.) So I guess I would have to call them to find that out.

And they aren't doing any body prep work or painting it.

2001 Chevrolet S10 COWL INDUCTION HOOD, 2 INCH
SKU:
GMK4113200942GMK4113200942

I paid $300.00 even,no tax. For a Custom Made scoop, made for the HHR, plus shipping, about $200.00 and that included FedEx reboxing repacking it, as Larry was afraid that the box supplied was too tight a fit and was afraid of shipping damage if the corners weren't well padded.
I trusted his judgement call and said do whatever it takes to ship it here undamaged and I will pay whatever that costs me.

It arrived in great shape. So it was a smart call on Larrys end.

I'm sure shipping from Goodmark would be alot less as they have Contracts with whomever they use to ship with, therefore they get a Discount rate and try to pass it on to the customer.

But for a Custom hand made/laid fiberglass piece, the price isnt really that far off.

Had I had the guy who made it ship it, he quoated me $100.00 to ship it. For a Total of $400.00.

Larry has over 40 years in the body and fender Trades, and having him go make Sure it was exactly what it was supposed to be, seeing it in person before paying for it, and picking it up for me, = Priceless.

Prices have Changed since you bought. You musta got a Deal to have got it and painted for 300 bucks, how long ago was that 11 years ago?

And Goodmark has 0 listings for the HHR.

Thanks.

Mean, Evil, Low and Blown that will be Morticia.

(Once the Supercharger is actually Installed, Not before, I think I will cut myself a third brake light decal - Low & Blown) I have my own vinyl plotters so I can cut just about anything I want. One can cut 24" wide vinyl and the other can cut up to 30" wide material.

You're funny!

You spent time researching the hood I bought because why...you thought I was lying about the price? Yes, I bought my hood 11 years ago, back in 2001 from a local shop...Godfather Customs here in the Atlanta area. They were running a sell on the hood, picked it up so there was no freight and I spent $100 on paint supplies so that I could have my uncle paint it professionally without having the extra cash in it for labor. Feel free to give them a call, I'm sure they are still in business and you should be able to find a number online since you enjoy researching so much, heck I may even be in their system. Maybe they'll have someone working for them that was there 11 years ago when I bought it and will remember the exact hood and price.

Remind me in the future to just move on past your threads unless all I'm planning to say is..."that looks great" or "awesome custom mod".
