Not really trying to get into another debate, you are WRONG!!

Medical exemptions are allowed in the state of Florida!! If there is one thing I learned from the great debate with Snoopy it is do my research first!

Florida State Medical Exeption to Tint Law

BTW.....I was aware of the tint laws here in Fl. and I would challenge anyone to tell me that there is actually tint on the entire windshield, without prior knowledge of it, or to be able to tell by eye a difference of 8%.

That exemption does not say you can go darker that 28%. The only thing you can do is tint the windshield and the other windows on a certain vehicle.

And I'm sure that they all have medical exemptions too.

Straight out of the first exeption rule...........

which certificates shall entitle the person to whom the certificate is issued to have sunscreening material on the windshield, side windows, and windows behind the driver which is in violation
Exemption 2 refers to "special vehicles".

Nope California has no medical exemption law. I have not checked the other states. If you check the Florida law you will see the requirement for the sticker on the door jam.

While that may be a good conservative guide, it's not 100% correct. Tint laws (in PA anyway) may be more vague than that. For some interesting reading on PA's tint "regulations" check this out.

P.S. Sorry for the hijack, nice car, the tint makes the teal pop!

I think that some of you are getting a little self-righteous here. Yeah the law in FL says 28%. Yeah it is illegal to go darker. The reasons for the law are weak. Perhaps blinds and curtains on houses should be banned just in case a law enforcement officer wants to approach? I am in Central Florida, have 20% all around (including the windshield strip that descends below the "AS1" line). I am a respnonsible adult that hasn't been pulled over in more than 11 years, recognizes the difference between the "law" and "right", and accepts the risk and potential consequences of my choice to ignore this silly law. It is one thing to advise others about what is legal but it crosses a line when you start attacking their choices. Live and let live.
