I checked the fuses under the hood. But not the fuse box itself. What would I need to check there?

Ok will read that.

here an update. Remove the tcm connector and cleaned with electronics cleaner spray, added some dielectric grease. Reassembled.

power steering msg gone, speedo working again. Transmission shifts normal.

honestly I don’t like how that fixed it, as I failed to check it again after the car was cold before I started.

i guess the only way to know is to run it and see. Will do that and update.

hard shifting maybe to max of 2 or 3z.

Means that it was shifting from 1 to 2 with a jerk and 2-3, but never got above 3rd gear (was not driving fast enough)

Could be transmission shift solenoids burnt.
