2 Blown Headlights.... Help!

Mike,

Mine is over 50,000, and I just take it in for oil changes, and say "hey, while you are at it, can you check this out" most of the time they just do it and not worry about it.

Gloves or not, odds are you got something on the new bulb prior to installation. I'd try a new bulb and go from there. Get the splash shield as much out of the way as you can. That will give you good access to the bulb opening.

Personally, I would try removing the bumper and having full access, see if that makes any difference.

It's even possible there was something on the bulb when you bought it..... Clean the new one as previously mentioned.

So you recommend bumper removal every time someone needs to change headlight bulbs???? That will go over really well.

Moisture will do it too. Check the headlight housing at different times of the day when the headlights are not in use. Early morning say when the dew point is happening, etc. All it takes is a little wetness..... Check for moisture beads on the inside of the housing.
