2011 HHR Car is not starting
Starter or Battery are the most likely causes, does the starter solenoid make any sounds, like the proverbial "Dead Battery Click"?
If you have access to a VOM(Voltage-Ohm Meter), check the battery voltage, HHR's are super hyper picky when their batteries go bad. Anything south of 12 volts, and you're dead in the water.
If you don't have access to a VOM, remove the battery, NEGATIVE cable first please, and have it tested.
If the battery checks out, then as Don pointed out, a bad starter is a possibility. But with the ratio of starter related to battery related "no start" conditions here over the years, I'll always suspect the battery first.
And Delco batteries in High Heat areas, like the Bahamas, will fail after 4-5 years. Let us know how you make out, and despite the unhappy circumstances...
