Spent some time today tracking down ABS Light - C0045 code
First, I changed the LR hub bearing and when the fault appeared again. Then, I pulled the harness from its protective cover to find many areas where the tape was eroded through to the wire insulation by the protective plastic jacket. Some areas of the insulation didn't look that good either. I found a break in the orange wire running from the connector under the car to the abs sensor in the LR hub bearing near where its attached by a plastic clip to the rear suspension.
I spliced the wire together with solder and a heat shrink tube and everything is back to normal. I know there are lots of suggestions to replace the harness but why not just DIY repair if you have the skill and time.
