Here's a thought. Does the little orange light come on when you push the button for the AC?

 

The gap in the compressor clutch could be too wide. When this happens the clutch will not engage, even though everything is OK. Tap the clutch toward the compressor with the engine and A/C on and see if it engages. This can be dangerous, be careful! Use a wooden stick and wear safety glasses. Doing this will narrow the gap to where magnetism can pull the clutch together.

 

Did I miss something? I don't recall hearing back from my question about the compressor engaging.

Same here Don. I ask the same thing about the compressor engaging. Since the OP hasn't come back to his own thread, who knows.
