Hello,
My daughter has a 2009 HHR and while coming home from college, all of a sudden a loud alarm like sound came from her rear speakers. When the radio is on it is continuous, if the radio is off it only comes on when the turn signal is used. This happened before, but I can’t remember the remedy. I have replaced the turn signal switch indicator before, but can’t remember if that was the same problem before. Anyone else had this issue? Thanks for any assistance.

 

What happens if you fade it to the fronts.

 

As of yesterday, I can’t replicate the situation. It’s not making the noise now, I guess it self healing, lol. But when that happens again I will try that as a solution.

 

That fade is not a fix but can point to the problem area. It could be the amp for the rears got a feedback loop going.
