Another hard shiftin HHr

Hey all im new to the fourm but have been reading it for a few weeks now, well my problem is the same as about 1/4 of the other members on here my service traction message came up right after an oil change had the codes pulled and it said Mass air flow high and the Iac is high, well guy told me to take off the cover and check it well tried doing that but there are so many little rivets in there i got ticked and said whatever. Well i called chevy directly due to taking it to the dealership where i bought it from and they stated that they would have to charge me 237.00 just to look and diagnose it. My car has about 70k on it and is in the Extended Warr. now, so i pretty much told them umm no and called chevy. They told me that i shouldnt have to pay when talking with the warranty department then they switched me to the tech service depart and they told me i would so and that my traction control system is not covered by the warranty. I told the guy to pretty much sit and spin and hung up. I didnt have a question because thankfully this fourm was here and ty all again to all the answers that yall have provided i know that the car will stay like it is until i get both sensors replace prob. Good job guys keep up the good work fightin the fight of not being tottally screwed up by buying the hhr.

And your dealer could have told you that over the phone. Happens pretty often, especially at the quick lubes.

I'm not clear on why the intake sensor had to be unplugged ?

Don't they take it off to check the air filter?

If it was a Quicky Lube, disconnecting the MAF is probably as far as they got before realizing they don't know how to check the air filter on an HHR.......

Yes, ok the MAF does need to be disconnected. Had me confused by the term intake sensor.
Since the intake manifold is actually after the throttle body, to the motor..
