Anyone else with engine revving between gears?
Hi,
My 2008 HHR SS has a strange intermittent issue that just NEVER happens when at the dealer.
Normally if the engine is cold and getting going for the first time, or after idling at a light for awhile, if I shift between 1-2 and 2-3, at around 2000 to 2500 rpms, if I put in the clutch and take my foot off the gas, the engine revs up about 500-1000 rpms and then does a slow throttle drop off.
You sound like a novice behind the wheel, and this has been increasing in frequency. The dealer has no clue, and every time we try to reproduce it there, it never happens. I leave, VOILA!
Just wanting to see if anyone else has had this issue with their 5speed SS, LT or LS...

Have not had that with my 07 five speed. With the AC on, its a little slow to come down to idle or doesn't until I am completely stopped, but between gears, haven't noticed any RPM increase that I didn't initiate.
