Brake noise

Both rear wheel bearings replaced, rear drum/front disk 2006 HHR LT...occassionally when braking in light traffic there is now a noise from the front left..the steering wheel shakes occassionally? What's up??

Possibility the brake wear indicator isn’t installed correctly, could be the backing plate splash shield is touching the rotor, or the brake pad clips are touching the rotor. It could be tge caliper bracket bolts aren’t properly torqued .
Tgen there the possibility of the rear bushings in the LCA’s are worn out, causing a shake when you brake

I don’t like replacing OEM disk. Garages sometimes falsely believe they must be turned or replaced, and don’t like the extra time if they don’t have a lath. Cheap replacements may. Also, ceramic pads are quiet but cost more. If you don’t specify ceramic pads, you may not get them.
