I've used the Doorman brand solenoids in 3 HHR's.The oldest pair is going on 6 years old. I am beginning to think it's just the luck of the draw.Brands and price don't seem to matter as much as they used to.Do you feel lucky?Well do you????

 

Thanks, Vinny. I'm not feeling especially lucky right now. If I was, this would have happened during the warmer weather.

 

P0010/11 are intake. I would just change the intake one, especially if cost is an issue. Also, check the wiring and connector first.

 

Thanks, I did order both and I'll replace both because when I replaced only one, about ten years ago, I had to replace the second one about three months later. Good idea, I will inspect the wiring.

 

Installed; all went well. Thanks to the person (couldn't find his name in the long installation thread) who used the bent pick to help remove them. Used the GM parts, no more codes, no CEL. Plus, yesterday was unseasonably warm and sunny for the driveway job (no garage).
