Car does not want to start...
I had the ignition switch changed and now sometimes the car turns over once and stops. I shut the key off and retry then it will start.
Could this be the new switch or is it something else?
I've also noticed when it's cold it idles rough when driven...I'm thinking this is because of no vacuum pump on the 08 2.0 motors?
looking forward to some opinions on this one.
Thanks,
Mark

1. Probably something else. Sounds like a bad electrical connection somewhere. For starters, Check the battery terminals and the underhood main battery junction for loosness or corrosion.
2. Vacuum pump is for the brakes on the automatics. Should not effect the running rough problem. If you have an auto, you should have had the aux. pump installed by Chevy through the recall/tsb.

I bought the car used and it had just over 100k on it and the previous owner never had the pump installed. I would assume now that it is out of warranty there will be no pump installed by GM?
I'll check connections today.
