As Goose said, do some digging on M1 first if you want a true synthetic.

The M1 of today may not be the same M1 it was before Exxon got their grubby paws on it (depends on which one you need).

I have had good luck with AMSOIL. May try to get that, but M1 is so easy to get.

I will be looking into this.

I don't have an issue with the hydrocracked synthetics. I have an issue with paying PAO prices for hydrocracked synthetics.
Same here..that is why I'll get the 1.99 Pennz Plat or the BOGO for Synpower at Advance Auto. That is what I'm running in there now

I finally got my Pepboys $15 rebate on the Quaker State Q-Horsepower "synthetic" (Probably Grp III) I bought. Also got my $15 rebate from SOPUS on same, which works out to my being PAID a couple bucks to buy pick up the oil.

HHR is still on the Mobil Clean 5000. It will be a little while yet before the Q-HP goes in. No I didn't buy into the "horsepower" bs, I got it due to the rebates making it a money-ahead deal.

I wish we got those rebates up here. The best we can do is $18.49 for 5 quarts of Pennzoil Platinum.
