At least it should be fixed for free. Hope they can resolve it quickly.

 

I had my hhr throw a code. Just like yours, my remote start was disabled. I took it to the dealer and they told me it was my heater fan that caused the code. The fan was still working at all speeds. Do you really think that is a serious enough problem to justify disabling the remote start? What happens when a tail light goes out?

 

Well, I took it to the local dealer and it was the evap canister solenoid. The mechanic checked the harness and then checked the valve itself and that was bad. He replaced it and I was on my way. Thanks again everyone for the help and direction.
