did the MAF look clean or did you clean it with the appropriate cleaner..?? CRC makes a good MAF cleaner available at just about all auto supply stores. the can instructions say to let the MAF dry overnight before putting it back in service.............

Do you know anyone with a code reader? I understand that many of the auto parts stores will read codes for you but they won't clear them for legality reasons. Can or will OnStar clear them?

I don't know anyone with a code reader, neithr OnStar nor O'Reilly would clear them.

BUT, the SEL went off last night, though I still have the shifter click.

The shifter click is normal - see a couple of the previous posts including post #6 which has a great explanation.

You can try clearing the code by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. It might work.
