Correct Axle seal part

09 HHR LT 2.4 automatic transmission

two questions

First. I’m needing to do both axle seals. I have tranny fluid weeping at both sides. Do not know if I should replace either or both stub sleeves. Don’t mind replacing the sleeve on the one that comes out. Don’t want to have to replace the sleeve on the other side. Do I need to replace either or both or will I not know until I get it apart?

Second. When I look up the axle seal, I get 15 different options. This is my only transportation and I can’t get home go to do the job THEN find that I’ve got the wrong part/s. Anyone got a part number so I can be sure I’m getting the right one. Have oreillys, autozone, and advance here.

I’ve installed this kit

I’ve installed this kit, both fit and did not leak. I used a piece of 1 1/2 plumbing drain ABS and a coupler to drive in the seals to seat them.

Thanks oldblue. I thought that might be right but no details on the local shops to confirm.
