Drain problem. Water floods passenger side floor

Took my 2006 HHR to my mechanic. Said problem had to do with sun roof drainage. Said he cleared it and charged me $250. One month later and a rain storm and it flooded again. Now says it may need new drainage channels? This car was garage kept, pristine when I bought it 3 years ago. Help. Thanks.

Can you run a line down the drains?

Find a mechanic that is not a rip off. If he "fixed" it for $250 he should stand behind his work.

Talked to my mechanic and he said he flooded the drains with a hose. The water is entering near the hump and running off to lower area passenger foot space. He is going to open the cowl and look at the butyl patch some folks were writing about, especially faulty in 2006 model which my car is.
More money cause getting at the patch is work intensive. Thanks for your interest.

Very simple to get to the butyl patch. Take off the wiper arms. Take off the plastic cowl cover. 15 mins. tops.

If you have ever had your windshield replaced it is possibly damaged/
I took METAL duct tape and covered the hole where the patch was.
Some have used plexiglass or a homemade aluminum panel.
3 years and no water

Double check the door wire harness boots make sure they are installed correctly, and although not rain related clear out the AC pan drain .
