I've been searching and can only find issues related to the switch so maybe I'm not searching correctly. My window issue is that the window will not go up or down via the switch. I figured the switch or motor is bad so I grabbed both from the salvage yard. Today I started to work on it and was going to start with the switch. But when I worked the switch and listened close I could hear a faint bump in the door when moving the switch in either direction. That tells me the switch is good and possibly the motor too.
But before I take it apart and assume it is the motor that is bad is there anything else in the door that could be the problem? I don't want to get it all apart and then have to hunt down more parts.

You might look at stores like NAPA, they stock many numbers.

 

Replaced the motor with the junkyard piece and now it works great. Also tried the junkyard mirror switch and they moved a bit so I bought a new Dorman switch, part#901-116 and the mirrors work too! Hopefully the last thing to do is replace the door check limiter stop, all of the different ways I've been searching for a replacement part.

 

How's about the yard y'all got the window motor?

 

I'd rather have a new one but I might go see if the donor vehicle has one in decent condition.
