The low beams are DRL, they should be on when in gear.

Still the same diagnosis: Somebody switched some wires around or installed some equipment wrong.

You could be like the cool kids and just delete the rear wiper. But it could a stuck or miswired switch or a short in that circuit. Does the rear washer work?

The switch below the radio that controls the rear wiper and washer is not even plugged in.

Well then, DUH. It is wired into something else. Don't even need the logic machine for this one.

So the power for the rear wiper/washer switch is being used for another accessory?

Ok, I am not sitting in your car. Turning the logic machine on
A. there are no wires connected to the rear wiper switch
B. the rear wiper runs if the key is on
C. another switch near the wiper switch (the "direction control" I am guessing that is the recirc switch) functions oddly
D. could the wires be mixed up?

We have already established that a wiring genius has been playing in the car in the past. Maybe they had a reason for rerouting wires maybe they just lost track of what went were. That can happen when geniuses try to install after market radios, then uninstall them.

If you can't figure out which wire goes were you will need to take it to someone that is capable. This is something the internet can't help with.

Looks like the Factory radio. No telltale signs of a rewire job( i.e. splices, connectors or electrical tape. The connections for all the switches in the waterfall panel are unique to that switch. Did see a possible puff of smoke from inside waterfall when the key on constant on rear wiper and low beam lights staying on. Will try to dig in this weekend to investigate.

Ok, now wait... You first posted in February, over 6 months ago. So you've owned it at least that long.

The rear wiper switch is disconnected, you say no one has messed with the wiring.

So the rear wipers must have been behaving like this the entire time you've owned the vehicle? But you didn't mention it before.

Seems more like a troll everyday...

Until the windows issue was resolved the rear wiper was stuck in the half up position. There are wiper issue started the same time as the low beam lights . They both come on with the key and only shut off by disconnecting the negative side of the battery.

I do recall that about the rear wiper, so you disconnected the switch
