Communications between the modules is on the CANBUS not the wiring. I don't know what else you may have done.

The TCM connectors appear to be the same 2007-2009.

 

True that about the can bus but wouldn't the data wires have to land on the same points between the two years does that make sense

 

Check your Private Messages.

"Not communicating" does not mean "Not connected" on a network. The modules need to be aware of each other, then hand shake etc.

Tim, This is a most interesting task that you have taken on. so what did you do back in 2017 to get it to start, think you were talking about a vector package? This is way over my head, but I always wondered the same.

 

Yes I went with the vector package Alex did a great job just had to jump the pnp switch and she fired up now I think I shorted the TCM because it is giving me a TCM not communicating but it has been two years since I tried anything so don't recall If that fault was there since it did not start when I tried and was told I couldn't do it I gave up and just looked at it again and saw how to start it so here I am
