is it only the motor or does one need relay too? motor brands TYC,Ac delco, four seasons, vdo,delphi-... i am not getting delphi since its ticking so soon.

 

I didn't need a relay, do motor first, if you are missing speeds, then replace relay, if just ticking=motor, what it is is the bearings are failing. I took mine apart, and they use bushings and was going to find out if could replace with a sealed bearing, but got too busy, and recycled the motor.
