A two piece housing , this one, an aftermarket, touts it has a composite impeller

The AC Delco water pump comes complete with drive sprocket and gaskets, as seen in these pictures in this ad

I was thinking more of the freeze out/expansion plugs.

A 2009, would be 9 years old now and I’m seeing signs of neglect, in that corrosion in the system, that indicates, at one point, someone put
A , just water to top up the rad, throwing out the 50/50 mix.
B , hasn’t changed out the Dexcool for Dexcool.
C , poured in the green stuff.
A- Looks like a lot of "junk" water vs anti-freeze. Rule of thumb, if you can drink it put it in the cooling system.
B- There was none
C- That is a possibility, mixing the two types would cause a possible jelling but would give you corrosion protection which the system didn't have.
D- Brown coolant can also be from bad grounds to the engine and radiator plus not being serviced since day one.

Yeah, that too - they can't be in the best of shape either. And I wonder about the "mechanic" working on it - did you notice the broken off boss on the housing? That must have involved levering it off and breaking the housing?
