Thank you for your suggestions. As I said, I may have used the wrong terminology but when I stating what was going on, 2+2=4, if you get my drift. I love my car but with the issues going on it has been frustrating. 33willys, what you said makes perfect sense and I will give that a try.
I am a manager of a tool store and have learned never to assume anything. It is so aggravating when a guy asked to speak with a guy who knows something about a specific tool, assuming a woman has no knowledge. Once I dig deeper by asking questions, 9 times out of 10 I have the tool or can answer his problem.
So please understand my frustration and yes whopper, misunderstandings will happen. donbrew, my reaction to your post was taken as an insult because of the way it was worded. It was like "another dummy posting on here." I didn't expect what you wrote but expected something more like "Did you check this" or "Did you do this." Sorry for the misunderstanding and lets move forward.
Again, thanks for the suggestions.

Hmmm. I see you've been a member here since 2007. If so, and you have visited the site, then you should be familiar with our resident curmudgeon Donbrew.
(no offense Donbrew. )
Fact is. What he lacks in his Internet forum grace (again, no offense Donbrew ), he more than makes up for that with his vast knowledge and info related to the little HHR.
If I were to have a problem with my HHR, Donbrew would be one of the 1st people on this site I would seek out for help.
To paraphrase an old quote: You just have to take him with a grain of salt.

As far as your water leak problem. Sure sounds like the condensation pan drain is stopped up or leaking. Sometimes blowing or vacuuming the drain tube out just doesn't work.
I have seen several AC drain pans on cars with debris bigger than the tube itself. Physics says the bigger piece ain't gonna go through that smaller hose.
Another thing to consider, (and I've never looked closely at the HHR design) is where the drain tube itself connects to the evaporator box housing. It could be cracked, disconnected or broken off.

Let us know what you find. I would be interested to hear what the cause is.

Have you ever checked the coolant level? If the heater core is leaking the coolant would be draining.

My suggestion is to stop trying to diagnose and fix it yourself if don't understand how it works.
What is offensive about that db/sb and others? Sounds like information seeking and good advice to me.

(fact) there is no degrading language nor any personal assault. I never referenced "dumb blonde" nor implied any stupidity. (fact)

(fact) If you don't understand how something works you should not try to fix it yourself. If you think the heater core is leaking, and you understand how it works, you would not have a problem checking the coolant level. (fact)

(fact) EVAP has absolutely nothing to do with the A/C evaporator! (fact)

(fact) Most people have NEVER checked the coolant level. (fact)

If YOU think a question is stupid, YOU will probably think the answer is stupid. Whatever you think "stupid" means. A famous American once said: "STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES", and: "life IS like a box of chocolates".
