In case you have to replace timing parts?
Rislone might clean out the oil gallery but won’t replace the timing chain or guides.
Thanks for the update on the battery and alternator.

The mechanic insists it is not the timing chain, he talks about a timing part that looks like a drum, is it the valve actuator? Could the treatment helped get rid of some sludge and help that valve disk operate more normally?

I’m out, let him guess his way through your wallet.
And very rarely do the cam VVT go south.

Please read all of this , particularly the causes! The first is a stretched timing chain.

It’s your money, but when the chain breaks and wipes out a piston or , do you really think he’ll step up and say sorry I was wrong and he will pay for a new engine?
We’ve seen it before , that’s the experience this forum brings to the table.
Good Luck.
Im out.

OB you stayed longer than me. As I said, there will be an HHR for sale cheap soon. Or the "mecano" will get it for what they have invested. Sometimes you just can't help, this is one of these times.

Agreed, his responses are not indicative of anybody interested in repairing the engine.
