HHR cooling fan low temp cut off?
1. Your car was designed for that orange Dexcool "crap."
2. Many of us have high mileage HHR's ran exclusively on Dexcool without issue
3. If you search the forum you will find that only the OEM AC Delco T Stat works withing the cars manufacturer specifications.
4. Just take the time to read through the forum and find all the answers you seek!

I had a feeling that was the issue. It sounds like your cooling system just isn't working at full efficiency. A little standard antifreeze mixed in will make it worse too.
In fact I am seeing the same on mine as a coolant flush is overdue. The temperature used to be very steady at 89C (normal fan shut off temp), then over the last year it has slowly crept up, now regularly at 92-93. It cools down with the fan but rises faster than it used to. If I let it go until summer there could be serious consequences.
My advice for you is get it to a shop for a good flush, they have the equipment to get all the gunk out.
