This is the wiring diagram that includes the reason that the driver headlight would illuminate as a DRL, but not as a head light.

Have to ask. When the remote start is used, are the high beams what we see flash ?

The book says the parking lights illuminate and stay on as long as the engine is running.

If you have remote start, let's experiment! After a remote start are the headlights on, or is it the DRL (no tail lights). I can't find any references in my book. I did not have RVS on my 2011.

When I use my remote the only lights that come on are my parking lights and tail lights. This was done with the sun out.
I covered the light sensor and still the same thing.

Well, that adds another layer to my confusion.

No head lights should come on until the trans is out of park/neutral. So we don't know what NTD might be seeing.

With the wiring schematics you can pull up. Nothing shows the circuitry for this ?

When I started my car remotely, both lights engaged and flashed on and off three times. This made it appear, to me, that the light was working. Changing the bulb did solve the issue. Sorry if I explained this poorly, but thank you for your time and experience!

All of that is in firmware programming.
