You should be able to remove the first bolt and the 2 lower push pins to gain access to the headlight wiring withOUT removing the tire... you will scrape up your arms but still.

I did but there isn't much slack on the wire-it barely sticks out of the fenderwell. But I should be able to work with it, when the rain finally subsides.
