I tested the resistance through pin 6 and 14 while unplugging and plugging all the electronics. I was getting the normal 60 and 120 ohm readings.

I inspected:
EBCM connector
TCM connector
ECU 3 connectors
BCM 2 connectors

Pushed in all the fuses and relays under hood.
all the pins on the connectors looked good and the wires looked ok where they protrude from their sleeves. I think that replugging things that haven稚 been touched in 14 years fixed it, no symptoms returning yet. Fingers crossed

 

Maybe tighten those 4 bolts

These 4 , 7 mm bolts.

 

I知 fairly confident that I tightened them so hard they began to strip. I went beyond the cracking and creaking sounds of the plastic and I was using my body weight to turn the ratchet.
