Warranties are on the car not the owner.

However your description doesn't match up very good.

There was
key stuck engine running
shifter moves without key
shifter stuck in park
key hard to remove
engine shuts off unexpectedly (recall)
I am probably forgetting something

They each have specific symptoms to meet. Don't expect an easy time of it, they will start out denying any knowledge, then proceed to pay a diagnostic fee and maybe. I guarantee you will hear the phrase "did you see that on the internet?"

We have an entire section devoted to recalls and special warranties; https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gm-recall-campaigns-70/

I have key stuck in ignition, shifter moves without key. Thanks for all your help. I know a GM guy in another town, may have better luck with someone I know.

Your GM dealership should be able to perform the ignition key issue and the shifter problem, both are covered. Your GM guy in another town might not be able to provide the parts at no charge to you.
