Clutch feels normal, it’s rusty but looking at firewall it’s not blown through rotted. I’m still driving this thing 100+ miles per day skipping unusable gears. I turned the radio off and I think I may hear a bearing noise. I should prob look up how to check the fluid at least.

Looking at the brake fluid reservoir and puddles on the ground. Rocket science. MkII Organic light sensors.

Just checked brake fluid as I looked at firewall. It’s full and brakes recently gone through. It’s parked in the same spot everyday not a drop leaking. I was thinking check transmission fluid level.

If somebody has "topped off" the brake fluid That is unreliable. The fluid level is a gauge of brake pad and clutch wear.

Why are we talking about brake fluid?

EDIT: just remembered it's a shared reservoir.

I stopped by my GM parts guru’s shop, he says the cables are available but bushings are not for the 5 speed shifters, he advises either take out a bushing and match it up at an auto parts help department, perhaps Dorman or other companies might offer a matching bushing. He also suggested to just replace the cables because the cables do stretch and corrosion jams them up.

Thank you all for the reply’s! I’m going to order 2 new cables and will give an update after I get around to installing them. As far as answering some of the other responses the clutch, front and rear brakes were replaced last year. Cars tip top for having 190k miles. This just suddenly happened.

Thanks again everyone!

Update: Shifter cables arrived. I’ll get them installed, adjusted and be sure to share results!
