Multiple issues

While driving my 2006 HHR, the doors lock and unlock, TC light, engine light and power steering light come on. Speedometer goes dead, transmission stuck in 2nd gear, engine revs up....any suggestions

Moved to it's own thread, rather than hijacking the previous one. deleted your second posting.

Back to the issues you are having -
- did the Check Engine Light come on? If so, you need to deterime what the error code(s) is by getting them downloaded via an OBDII code reader
- check the battery - pretty much any auto parts store will put a load tester on it for FREE to see if it is dying - the HHR can act pretty weird when the battery starts to die, and the voltage gets too low

The OBD reader link port is under the dash, on the left of the steering column !
This sounds like a loose ground or dying battery, however a loose fuse box under the hood can cause same symptoms.

For the most part
http://www.obd-codes.com/p0700

However, have a look at the ground wires down to the left of the oil filter cap on the transmission housing, also the ground to the battery in the spare tire well in the back.
If your battery is older or even original it could be the cause.
Also check the TCM for loose wires st it's connections.
Ensure the Underwood fuse panel halves are tight and the fuses and relays are securely in place!
Disconnect the NEGATIVE cable at the battery before you check all of this to avoid any shorts and to allow time for the ECM and TCM to reset. Approximately 30 minutes!

X2, it'll be something that's loose, or a failing battery.

HHR's will "Go Nuts" with loose connections, ground issues, and failing batteries.

Check this connection for the under hood fuse box.
