Okie dokie, if you jump start it please be careful and follow the directions how to jump start an HHR, best is back at the battery!

When it doesn't start, does it make any noise? Is there a clicking sound? Does the starter spin but not engage the flywheel?

I had an intermittent starting condition a few years ago. It turned out to be a bad starter relay. I swapped the starter relay with another similar one in the fuse box and the problem went away.
