Not Again :(
Well the Check Engine Light came on last night and was still on this morning and my remote start didnt work. Engine just clicked when I went to use it. Ran and did a couple errands and the CEL went off eventually today and now the remote start works. I am very confused.
I don't think this latest problem is related to the loss of turbo problem but something is definitely not right.

I had similar issues with mine and it ended up being the wastegate actuator, The first dealer I went to adjusted my wastegate the wrong way and made my booster almost non-existent.

The wastegate actuator is what the second dealership said it most likely was if the problem resurfaced. Unfortunately this dealership is a long ride away for me and the ones close to my house say they cannot order any parts with out a engine code or seeing the the actual problem which they never can seem to recreate.
I would be careful with this diagnosis. Limp mode is most likely the connectors for the upgrade kit and it will come and go. I had the same issue and my dealer targeted the same part. Which by the way this solenoid is non-existent. As of last friday they had a nationwide call out for this part - I was already waiting a month. What I did for a test was needlenose the 3 connections and sure enought it would clear up this issue - it wasn't a final solution but it proved the connectors were bad and the wastegate was not sticking/broken.

The pictures were priceless and absolutely the fix. The connectors are easy to find and if they looked like mine all out in the open and sitting straight up and down. So any moisture could work it's way into the connector and did.

I appreciate all the advice and info that I get from many of you on here. I like to stay informed and research stuff on the things I own or purchase. I just wish some of these service techs would utilize the internet and forums like this before writing the problem off as not able to recreate the issue.
