Odd water leak issues
Odd water leak issues
Newbie here, been lurking for 2-3 months since I bought the 08 HHR LT.
So far I've been pretty pleased with it even with a couple of nagging problems that are surfacing. The pass rear door lock takes about a dozen pushes on the fob to get it all the way unlocked, I verified the lock knob is not hanging up on the door panel.
Anyway, the water issues are...after a wash or rain there is a drip coming from behind the left front wheel, not out of the drain hole in the uni-body.
It seems to be right behind where the embossed arrow is on the lower trim panel (no running boards). The sound deadening material between the fender and engine compartment is wet.
The second issue is...there are four rubber plugs under the car located approx below the seats. The pass rear plug had a little drip this past weekend after the freak snow storm we had in SW MO. I pried the plug around some and probably 1/2 cup or so of water drained out. I have not checked the spare tire well yet.
I guess I am lucky to not have water in the floor boards that seems to be pretty common.
Any insight is appreciated.

The rear door lock is from the plunger wire (like coat hanger) hanging up on something inside the door. When somebody removed the door panel they did not take care to get the wire lined up correctly, there is something like a channel that it is supposed to ride in. It is very easy to not get it on right.
No input about water.
