#6 is the module. The previous picture Mike posted was from 2005.
This picture said it covered 2008-2010 models.

You are correct George, I pulled up the wrong diagram, ugh!

That brings us back to the issue with Mr Z's dealer being unable to diagnose the issue, it would seem that they could verify the module function one way or the other before he does serious damage to the engine.

Isn't the fan supposed to run constantly when the AC is on? The compressor cycles but the freon is constantly flowing through the condenser so the fan needs to pull air.

The only way I know mine is working sometimes. When. You turn the car off, sometimes it runs for up to five minutes.

I also believe i is the fan. Yesterday, i let it run in the driveway. After an hour and a half, the fan stopped. A/C was on but fan would not run. Also, for the last fifteen minutes before it stopped, it seemed to be funning slower than normal.

The dealer will have it again tomorrow. At least now i can tell them they need to let it run longer.

If the compressor cycles to off, the freon is not flowing. The compressor must be engaged to produce pressure which pumps the freon through the system.
The fan will(should) remain on if the system is in AC or defrost mode. The fan is not controlled by the cycling of the compressor. I think the fan control goes through the BCM.

How did things go at the dealership with your HHR?

If the dealer cannot recreate the problem, the next time it happens to you, throw a Volt meter across the power leads to the fan - if it has voltage but the fan doesn't work then you have a bad fan.
