Cool Possessed Headlights

Ha! Thanx guys! That's gotta be it. The brights are just fine and I never thought about it being the brights that came on when you use your fob in the dark! Awesome! I will change the bulb & let you know how it goes. Thanx again for the expertise!!! : >)

I think when you use the key fob the "headlights" that come on are the daytime running lights and not the low beams. Could just be a bad bulb and have nothing to do with the new trailer setup.....

Actually, I believe it's the brights that come on when you use your remote...

Could be...... If so then the OP may have high beam and no low beam if it's the bulb. Aren't the high and low on a different fuse as well??? (just going from reading other posts, I've not had problems with my lights)

Yes, I think they are on different fuses. I used to have a situation that was opposite of the OPs. For the longest time, one of my brights was out, but both of the low-beam headlights worked. When I unlocked the doors with the remote, it would appear that one of the headlights was out, but when I start the car and the low-beam headlights come on, they both work. It was just one of the brights that was out for me.

I put a hitch on my 06 and yesterday was the 1st time I used it and hooked up the lites. I tested all the trailer lites and all was well.

Later, as the wife & I were heading to dinner (now sans trailer) I noticed a lack of lite. Driver's side headlight out.

Later even yet, as we came out of the restaurant and I hit the fob, Cool (but very weird)! The headlight's working! Then I put the key in & start it and, bummer, no headlight. Double & triple checked it. As long as the power is not on the light works. Soon as the key turns, no light?????

Long story short, I ain't got know idea! How bout you guys???
Lights should stay on when dark or even dusk, IDK ? Check fuses. trailer lights may have overloaded a fuse..

Ha! Thanx dudes! I didn't even think that the hi beams might be the ones that initiate with the fob, but makes sense, cause the hi beams both work. I'm assuming it's the bulb now and I'll change it and let you guys know how I did! Thanx for the expertise!!!! : >)
