So I am hoping the mechanic that I use might have one. I mean the dealer charges to pull the codes right? Do the scanners that you can buy check all those codes as well? I thought I heard someone say it was like 80 bucks for the dealer to do it and I thought the price of a scanner was about 80 as well.

I don't know. I am just so frustrated with dealing with this.
I used the tool trucks Demo to pull fault code and then another buddy has an app to do troubleshooting on vehicles did the troubleshooting and determined that electric powersteering motor was bad got a quote from my local garage $1350.00 to read codes troubleshoot and they wanted
$890.00 just for the part I found it online from a GM dealership out of Arizona for $461.00 average price online was $520.00 to $725.00 and then after ordering it found it for $380.00 and that plus$100.00 core for any of them which tells me this is a common problem with them going bad!

C0475 yes needs powersteering module calibrated to the powersteering module.

Powersteering module calibrated for angle sensor and torque sensor to calibrate how much steering assist is needed and then bump stops set so it know where left to right end travel is during turning so it knows when to quit assisting to keep from bending components!

Well. This is a site about the Chevy HHR.
Your bio says you have a 2017 Silverado truck. You must be posting on the wrong website. Those prices are way too high for HHR parts.
