Question Power Window problems

On my 2009 HHR the rear power windows work fine with the switches on the rear doors but with the switches on the drivers door for the rear windows they will go down but I have to reach over to the rear door switch to bring them back up. Has anyone experiences a simular problem.

Sounds like a bad drivers door switch.(haven't spilled anything in there or got it wet?)

Question Power Window Problems

I just bought the vehicle last Saturday. Never rolled down the rear windows until the next day because it was raining hard. If it was the window lock swithc, wouldn't all the windows be affected. Also the rear door switches work fine. It's just the two on the drivers doo that are affected for the rear windows.

Thumbs up Power Window Problems

I have to agree that it is most likely the two front switches that have the defect. I can pull them out and test them with my multi meter.

Ooops. I missed you were new here.

Welcome to the site.

Yeah. If you have the know how, by all means, check the switch with a meter.

Power Window Problwms

Thanks. I found this site to be very helpfull as well as interesting. I have the same problem with my turn signal switch that one of the other members was experiencing where it doesn't always return to the neutral postion. He gave excellent details on what the problem is and how to fix it.
