Press brake pedal, rear wipers turn on.
I bought my 2008 HHR LS in April of this year. My rear wiper runs every time I depress the brake pedal. I pulled the relay, as a temporary fix, but that relay also controls opening the rear door, making this a real pain in the a#*! Has anyone seen/had this problem before? I would appreciate any suggestions of where to begin to solve this problem. I have never posted before, but have come here for information many times.
Thank you for your time

I moved this to its own thread.
Welcome to the site, I be inspecting the grounds and wiring to the rear area.
Have someone press the brake pedal , do the brake lights and the wiper turn on?
Do you hear a click in the underhood fuse box, while there push in all the relays and fuses.

I don't know because the 5 year old thread it was stuck on the end of entailed several problems that that OP never came back to discuss.
The only way stepping on the brake pedal could affect the rear wiper is a short in the right brake light bulb. That would send a signal through to ground g402 that would connect to the wiper motor (& the trunk release) grounding to g109 on the left strut tower and blow the liftgate/sunroof fuse.
The problem is most likely corrosion on the right stop light bulb.
