Exclamation Problems with IPCW Tail Lights

Lately, my IPCW tail lights have been acting up on me. When I was driving home tonight, I turned on the right turn signal and it started flashing rapidly. I thought to myself, "Oh, my front turn signal must be burnt out." since the LEDs are supposed to last virtually forever. Well, when I got out, to my surprise, it was the rear lights acting up. The right side IPCW tail lights were extremely dim but not completely out. I pulled open the trap door, and as soon as I bumped the wires, the lights got bright again. Upon further inspection, jiggling the wires made it go back and forth from bright to dim. For now, it seems to be OK, but I don't have much confidence it will stay working. Any suggestions? Has anyone else had problems with these before? As far as I've heard, these IPCW lights are supposed to be really good and of high quality. I really like them myself. In my opinion, it was the best mod I did to my HHR. I would hate to have to go back to stock. The LED lights are so much brighter and better overall. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a loose connection, bad connector, or possibly a broken wire in the harness. You might want to take a closer look at that corner in the daylight and check for all of the above, my bet would be a loose connection.

Definitely take the time to give the wiring a good going through. Because there are "extra" wires to the tails due to the plug and play harness they may have done extra bouncing around loosening things up. Its very doubtful that the leds or the circuit board parts could jiggle around enough to cause an issue. Don't rule anything out though till you play around to see what brings the issue back so it can be dealt with.

If you bought them from Maggie, like I did, I would ask Her, I had a concern when I got mine, and She was ready to replace them if needed. Excellent service, rare these days.
