Her is mine. Maybe some enterprising person can figure out how to manufacture something like this. I could sell them for $20 a piece.
Caveman/redneck style. Just give ne a shade tree and case of Blue Ribbon.
The PNP drawing in the background is how to turn a transistor into a temperature sensor.

Don
They would sell better if you had a universal-fit all style.
You know. 1 with both inches and mm’s. 😂

Looks like you had some blue ribbon when you were making that drawing!

That is exactly the one that I bought. Agree....works perfectly for my needs, also.

Much easier to read than the old vernier calipers...until that cursed button battery dies, lol. I keep a spare in the box.

Less error-prone, too. The mechanical dial caliper was a big improvement.

For this reason, I’m going to make sure that I will be consulting the forum MORE (AKA Crystal Ball)
I’ve sure appreciated the experience combined on this site in just the short 3 years I’ve had mine.
Lots of predecessors here with great insight.

someday, I plan on getting around to making that very unique interior light off switch for the annoying un-switchable courtesy lights. I know someone had an excellent wiring idea built into the dimmer. Will have to revisit that soon, but sounds like a bit of a wiring job. I keep telling myself “one thing at a time”.. what I want to know is that now after only 3 years, how many years will it be when I can finally say “okay, I’ve caught up to these oddball quirks” ? 🤔
(actually afraid I think I already know the answer)

What unswitchable courtesy lights? The map lights on the mirror have switches. The dimmer has an off position (it clicks all the way left). All of the interior lights turn themselves off after the key is off.

This was posted by Fastsuv in 2007. Hope it helps. 2006 never had the dimming feature.

thank you! Yes, I have no way of manually turning off the interior lights when pulling the keys out of the ignition. All 3 ceiling lights come on and then slowly dim after hitting the lock button or key-in. I prefer to often have interior lights not come on at all, and the 2010 doesn’t have that option. The 2010 has the overhead light bar, and not the round version which I believe contains an off switch? I’m thinking that change happened in 2009?
From what I recall somewhere on threads long ago, someone wrote how they made an off switch out of the dash dimmer slider somehow, so that the interior lights could be kept off when desired.
