The other thing to look at is the turn signal on the ready corner lights up. Another one for the Owner Manual.

I hate to admit this, but I knew about that. When the LR never lit up, I just figured the back ones dont do it, just the front ones. LOL. I am eat up with the dumbass on this project.

So I decided I would try something different. I am going "counter Clockwise" (LF, LR, RR, RF). I do this and it goes smoothly on the first 3 wheels, the last wheel RF does not chirp, so now I am without a doubt that this is my problem TPMS. Here is another question, since the RF did not take, I now have dashes next to "all" wheels in the DIC screen. Is this normal, I would have thought that the other three would at least show up with their pressures.

It is probably because it is still waiting for input. One of those computer things.

But, I don't know.

Hmmmm. Not sure how you're even able to do that. The relearn procedure goes LF, RF, RR, LR. Once you set the 1st one, it should light up the turn signal light on the RF to "tell" you that one is next. If you're going counter CW (how, I don't know) it seems it would have the positions out of sequence IF you were able to complete it.
That sequence above is the one from my owners manual (2010). I've done it a couple times and remember it being very sensitive to time and pressure release. Had to restart the procedure several times to get it right.
Fwiw. I don't relearn mine anymore. Just rotate the tires and let it be. If I ever was to get a low pressure warning, I'll just check all the tires.

Sorry for the confusion firemangeorge. Yes, the lights are telling me to go clockwise, but I am going counter clockwise (where there is no light). I am doing this just as a troubleshooting method. The car does not actually know which tire that the signal is coming from when I am deflating, it is just hoping that I am following the lights and all the positions would be correct, which if it had completed , they would not.

Same here, & of course out driving today, & get the TPMS signal, then message the tire sensor need attention. I'm starting into this rides 11th year since built, so I know the battery in sensor died, & the others are likely very close behind.

I was planning to put new sensors & new tires on in the spring. I may still do that. Unless it's gonna cause me un-wanted Re-learn issues. ,

2008 models you only have to worry about the car battery, unless you have had the RCDLR updated.

Thanks Don, I was hoping to hear I could wait a bit. Good to know.
And new car battery already installed a while back.

Just an update. I have been too busy to follow up on replacing the tpm. I am down in Texas where the temp swings have been drastic from day to day lately. On the cold days (Mid 40's and down) the tpm light comes on. On the warmer days the tpms reads fine. just an FYI. I still intend to change the tpms sensor when I get a chance. The tpms light drives me crazy.
