I got done filling my tank, started to pull away when my Traction Control light came on. Two miles later, as I was pulling into my driveway the Security light came on.

I do have a BAFX Products - Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool plugged in. I'm troubleshooting a Check Engine Fault code.

Some engine fault codes trigger Traction errors.

First I would check out the main ground (under the hood driver side radiator support) and the main +12 at the under hood fuse box.

 

How long has the scan tool been plugged in?

My thinking is the scan tool is giving false signals. GM has a letter to the dealers in regard to SOME of the continuous plug in's will do this.

Remove the tool and clear the codes if you are NOT having any type of irregular engine and performance problems.

But it is just a suggestion.....not an absolute.

 

But then GM has a Bulletin warning against after market ATF flushing machines. Try to leave a GM Service Bay without a recommendation for a "BG ATF Flush EVERY 50,000 miles".
Just throwing a skeptic's eye in there, not arguing. My Bluetooth OBDii reader is connected most of the time AFTER the codes and warnings popped up. They pop up whether or not it's there, YMMV. (I did try it on and off)
