won't start
i have a similar problem, mine was working fine last night when i turned it on this morning every light in the car including dashboard cd player was flashing on and off. Turned it off came back several hours later tired again there was no crank then i couldnt remove key from ignition and also nothing electric would work
Quote: The way the fusebox is designed, none could ever loosen to the point where a malfunction would occur if the lid is on. This is an old myth that must DIE.
I checked mine and nearly every fuse and especially the relays wer loose. I probably pushed every relay down nearly 18 inch when reseating. The car actually started the first time after that, but only once.
I have a similar if not the same problem, did you get it fixed? what was it?

I only know because I was cleaning out mine with the door open and I had accidentally left the dome light on, and the battery went almost dead. When I turned the key on, it wouldn't let me turn it back off, and I read about that in the owners manual. I had to flip some sort of switch in the steering column.
1/8 inch is not enough to cause lack of contact. Forcing the fuses into place IS a good way to stress and break the contacts. The way the lid is designed, the fuses CANNOT become unseated from their sockets.
