Post your 1/8 and or quarter mile times inside here
Last big race weekend here before they close the track for the season. Wish me luck... They are having a truck/SUV event today and im gonna enter. If I can be consistent I may come home with some cash. Time for a quick wash and some 112 octane and im good to go.
Wasn't gonna enter but last night ran an 8.59 and the track guys urged me to give it a shot today. Don't think I'll post that kind of time today though as it is warming up nicely today.

Well, for my first time racing racing, I didn't do too bad. I was eliminated in the third round. I dialed in way too low at 8.8, as the temperature dropped so did my traction. But now I know. 2005 I still want your slicks if your willing to ship 'em to Tennessee.
Cheap eagle gt's. I was lighting them up pretty good in the water box and running at 18 pounds in the tires. My third run I was paired up with a 10.10 turbo diesel. Two seconds is a ton of time sitting at the tree. I got a little too much foot in it and broke traction trying to play catch up, instead of just running my race. In quals I was running 8.7 and I ended up sandbagging the first two rounds to avoid breaking out. That third run was horrible 9.2xx. I was also quite nervous since it was my first time.
In practice runs though I beat a ws6 which caused alot of intrest in my car. That guy was not happy at all

Yeah still the GM tune. I mixed in about five gallons of 112 to an 1/8 of a tank... The smell was amazing, don't know if it really helps though. Didn't notice any kick in the butt dyno. But it does seem to take a 1/10 or two off my time. The sad thing is I waited till the last track day to actually enter an event.... I am bitten hard! Now it looks like I got about three months to get an intake manifold, slicks, a better tune, and 20g. So much for the daily driver.
I will also say this 83,000+ miles and over 150 passes without a breakdown. Chevy made these some pretty tuff weekend warriors.
One more tidbit. When I first started running I was using comp mode and running 9+. Now that I know my car a little better I run traction off and posted a season best of 8.59. Just in driver training I managed to shave .7+ seconds off my first runs. Im extremely happy with my performance!

Cool
You are flying for a Gm Tune.
I have raced for years and obviously if you are bracket racing consistencey is the name of the game I think the slicks will benefit you the most there.
2005 HHRAuto told me that the Gmtune is designed for 93 octane but it can and will take advantage of a slightly higher Octane,
I agree with him on that 100 percent.
I also Agree with you about staying away from comp mode
i kept trying mine to work with the comp mode
finally gave up and walked the car out with traction control off and about 100 foot out I was finally able to get it to the floor
track was bad as usual.
I was down to maybe 30 psi I am sure that was not helping I should have gone lower.

Yeah, I have been wanting slicks for a while. but spending five bills, is a stretch with the wifey and kid. Fastest street car there last night was a '12 Mustang. He was running 8.14. so the Hhr got alot of attention. as the temp dropped so did my time by around 9pm I was back into 8.9's. Yuck! I will say though 2.092 for a 60' is about the best I can muster on street tires.
