What's with the "Sweet" tea cult(ure):

1st...ya gotta boil the water and tea bags, or make it in the coffee maker
with the tea bag strings hangin out of the side.
For a 10 cup coffee maker, use 10 tea bags. Yep, 1 bag per cup.
If ya make it in the coffee maker, ya gots to cut it with more water. 50-50
It's real easy, pour the coffee maker tea into a pitcher, add sugar, and then
refill the coffee pot with water to cut it down. Stir, chill and enjoy.
Ya gotta add sugar while it is still HOT, so as to have the sugar disolve
completely. About 1 cup of sugar per gallon of tea.
True Southerners don't do sun tea....it ain't strong enuf......LOL

Thanks, Al! This pretty much sounds like what my Assistant said--she grew up in Georgia and my Director has family in the South as well, and said water HAS to be HOT when you put in the sugar! It was funny hearing them both talk as the 'accent' became thicker as they discussed it!
I like my hot tea with milk and lotsa sugar (lived in England too long )

Just sounds like way to many calories to me, I'd rather eat my calories than waste then on sugared tea! I'll take mine green or white without any sweetener, please!
